What is the Valen Network?
Valen is a decentralized publish-subscribe network for real-time data and live media. Instead of routing through a cloud provider's servers, messages travel peer-to-peer across thousands of independent nodes, so there is no vendor lock-in and no single point of failure.
How do nodes earn?
Operators stake VALEN tokens and relay data for sponsored streams. Sponsors pay for bandwidth, and that revenue flows to the operators doing the work plus the delegators backing them, proportional to stake and performance.
What can I build with it?
Anything that needs live data delivery: AI agent coordination, IoT telemetry, live video distribution, in-game state sync, paid data feeds. If it streams, it fits the network.
When was Valen started?
The project began in 2024 as an open-source effort and is maintained by a distributed group of contributors worldwide. Key protocol decisions are made through token-holder governance votes.
